KKS Sells its First Gripper Conveyor in U.S.

TKS announced today the purchase of a new gripper conveyor system to replace existing conveyors at The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch.

The sale is the first in North America for Japan's Kaneda Kikai Seisakusho, a sister company of TKS, which supplied the Dispatch's presses.

The Baton Touch Carrier gripper will be installed at the same time the previous equipment is removed, and is expected to be on line by fall of next year.

"A few years ago we installed an automatic stripping station from KKS," Dispatch Operations Vice President Del Varney said in a statement. "So we are confident they can deliver and install as promised."
