M2 EQUITYBITES-December 4, 2018-KKR provides monetisation activity for Q4 2018

KKR & Co Inc (NYSE:KKR) reported on Monday the monetisation activity update for the period since 30 September 2018.

The company estimates that it will earn gross realised carried interest and total realised investment income of about USD770m on a segment basis, driven by strategic and secondary sale transactions. Also, of that amount an estimated USD420m closed in the period from 1 October to 3 December 2018, or the fourth quarter.

Further, the remaining USD350m reflects gross realised carried interest and total realised investment income from pending transactions that will close in the first half of 2019. However, the company offers no guarantee that such pending transactions will close or that it will actually earn the amount of gross realised carried interest or total realised investment income as expected from such pending transactions.

Finally, the company mentioned that the above estimates are not intended to predict or represent the realised carried interest, total realised investment income or total segment revenues for the full quarter ending 31 December 2018. This is so because they do not include the results or impact of any other sources of income and it may realise further gains or losses relating to carried interest and total realised investment income after the date of this news report. These estimates are not necessarily indicative of the expected results that may be for any other period such as the full year ending 31 December 2018.

A global investment firm, KKR manages multiple alternative asset classes such as private equity, energy, infrastructure, real estate and credit, with strategic partners that manage hedge funds. It invests its own capital alongside the capital it manages for fund investors and provides financing solutions and investment opportunities through its capital markets business.
