KING MCGEE: THE BANK OF CALIFORNIA RESPONDS

SAN FRANCISCO, March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The Bank of California today said that King McGee, an employee who works in the company's New York office, was present and accounted for -- as were all bank employees -- moments after last Friday's blast at the World Trade Center complex where he works. He continues to work at the bank in a temporary, off-site location in a full-time capacity until the bank's World Trade Center offices are reopened.
Erroneous reports were published this morning stating the McGee was missing beginning last Friday and only today resurfaced.
McGee will not be available to comment to news reporters about the erroneous news reports.
Questions from the news media about the McGee matter should be directed to John C. Kaufman of Communications Services, The Bank of California. Kaufman can be reached at the number below during business hours, Pacific Time.
