KIMMINS ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE CORP. ANNOUNCES INITIAL OFFERING OF 25 PERCENT OF TRANSCOR WASTE SERVICES, INC.
TAMPA, Fla., March 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Kimmins Environmental Service Corp. ("Kimmins") (NYSE: KVN) announced today the initial offering of 25 percent of TransCor Waste Services, Inc. ("TransCor") (NASDAQ: TRCW), a subsidiary of Kimmins, for $5 million through Whale Securities Co., L.P. and Dickinson & Co. as underwriters. Kimmins retains approximately 74 percent interest in TransCor. The net proceeds will be used for TransCor's planned expansion and growth. TransCor provides solid waste management services to commercial, industrial and residential customers in the state of Florida. TransCor's services include transfer, collection, transportation, segregation, recycling, demolition and disposal. TransCor is headquartered in Tampa, and operates facilities in Miami, Dade County; Clearwater, Pinellas County; Tampa, Hillsborough County; Jacksonville, Duval County; and Lantana, Palm Beach County.
