 KIMBERLY-CLARK ELECTS NEW EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
 DALLAS, Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Kimberly-Clark Corporation


(NYSE: KMB) today announced that the company's board of directors has elected Richard F. Auchter an executive vice president. Auchter, 57, formerly group president-infant and child care, has overall management responsibility for Huggies disposable diapers, Huggies Pull-Ups training pants and Huggies baby wipes.
 Since joining Kimberly-Clark in 1957, Auchter has held various financial and product management positions. He became controller of the consumer products division in 1970, business manager-household products in 1973, business manager-infant care in 1985 and vice president-infant care later that year. He was appointed vice president of the personal care sector in 1990, president of the personal care group later that year and group president-infant and child care in 1991.
 Auchter was the first employee to receive Kimberly-Clark's Entrepreneurial Achievement Award. The award, established in 1985, is given at the discretion of the board to employees "whose career record and performance have exemplified the entrepreneurial spirit."
 A native of Green Bay, Wis., Auchter received a bachelor's degree in finance from Marquette University and a master of business administration degree from the University of Chicago. He is based at the company's operations headquarters in Neenah, Wis.
 Kimberly-Clark is a manufacturer of household, personal care and health care products, as well as newsprint and premium business, correspondence and specialty papers. The company's consumer products include Huggies disposable diapers, Huggies Pull-Ups training pants, Huggies baby wipes, Kleenex facial tissue, Kleenex premium bathroom tissue, Kotex and New Freedom feminine products, Hi-Dri household towels and Depend incontinence products.
