KIMBAL T. GOLUSKA JOINS CIRCUS CIRCUS

 LAS VEGAS, Aug. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Circus Circus Enterprises Inc. announced today that one of the nation's leading urban designers and planners has joined the company to help develop urban entertainment and resort facilities across the United States and in international markets.
 Kimbal T. Goluska joins Circus Circus after 16 years with Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM) Chicago, one of the world's best-known architectural design firms.
 William G. Bennett, chairman of the board of Circus Circus, said hiring Goluska will help solidify the company's leadership in the gaming industry by adding urban design and planning expertise to the renowned marketing capabilities of the company.
 "This appointment sends a signal to emerging gaming markets that Circus Circus is committed to projects that take into account the long- term development and civic agendas of those communities," said Clyde Turner, president of Circus Circus, "and it tells our investors that Circus Circus will be on the cutting edge of urban gaming resorts for years to come."
 Major developments in which Goluska has been involved include expansion of Chicago's McCormick Place Exposition Center, the $3.5 billion King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Saudi Arabia, and the 12.4 million-square-foot financial center on Canary Wharf in London's Docklands.
 His responsibilities also have included working with government policymakers and civic business leaders to ensure community values have been reflected in his projects.
