KID DYLAN'S DELIGHT AT ROVERS DEAL; RAITH ROVERS....... 2 DUNFERMLINE........ 2.

Byline: IAIN COLLIN AT STARK'S PARK

DYLAN TAIT is sure stability at Raith Rovers can help him and the team shine.

The midfielder signed a new long-term deal with the Kirkcaldy club on Friday.

Tait, 19, is under contract until 2024 but has ambitions to move on like pal Kieron Bowie who landed a glamour move to Fulham in the summer.

Tait said: "I'm enjoying it here just now and I thought, 'why not?'. It's a good place for me to keep developing and hopefully I can play more and keep improving.

"I've got another three seasons. By then, I'll be 22, 23 and hopefully I'll be much better than I am just now.

"I've had a couple of bumps in my career but everything just now is going the way I want it to go and I just hope it keeps going that way.

"Me and Kieron were in the same team and the gaffer signed both of us here at the same time.

"Last year it was good playing with my pal and he's obviously done well and got his move down to England.

"You just have to do well here and you never know who's watching you. It's good for him, and the club got money for him, so it's a win-win situation for everyone."

Manny Duku and Frankie Musonda put Raith in charge but Fraser Murray and Declan McManus hit back to earn Pars a point in the derby draw.

Striker Murray, on loan from Hibs, said: "We were not at our best, but it is a sign of a good team when not playing at your best, you can come back.

"Second half, we were much better, we countered well."
