KHCF receives Carrefour Jordan customers donation.

Amman, Sept 25 (Petra) -- The King Hussein Cancer Foundation KHCF, in partnership with Carrefour, recently marked the conclusion of a fundraising campaign in all local branches of Carrefour in Jordan.

The campaign, which ran for the entire month of Ramadan this year, consisted of Cashiers asking Carrefour customers to add an optional donation of five Piasters or more to their bills to benefit KHCF.

To this end, the Country Manager of Carrefour Jordan, Francois des Garets presented HRH Princess Dina Mired, the KHCF Director General, with a check in the amount of JD 24,500 -- the total proceeds from this month-long fundraising campaign.

Princess Dina Mired expressed her deep appreciation for Carrefour Jordan's partnership and for all their customers who generously donated to KHCF thereby supporting the fight against cancer, which touches every life in one way or another.

"I would like to thank Carrefour Jordan for their support, which reflects their deep understanding of the importance of helping nonprofit organizations and for being a positive role model for other companies in corporate social responsibility," Princess Dina said.

"I would also like to thank every person who donated to KHCF through this campaign. It is because of our supporters that we are able to continue our fight against cancer," she added.

Des Garets said the international retail market chain is satisfied with the partnership with KHCF in the campaign, adding: "At Carrefour, we are focused on helping the local community and addressing humanitarian issues in Jordan." Carrefour is one of KHCF's most dedicated supporters, through its participation in several programs and activities established by the Foundation.
