KFC apologise for food that customer thought was raw.
KFC has apologised after a customer at its Holyhead branch bit into what he feared was raw chicken.
Aiden Rowden had bought a chicken meal from the outlet, but was horrified when he bit through the crispy coating to find pink, seemingly uncooked meat inside.
Mr Rowden warned his friends on Facebook with pictures he had taken of the food, saying it was "disgusting".
The company has insisted there was nothing wrong with the food, blaming the appearance of the chicken on a 'problem with the marination'.
But KFC acknowledged it 'didn't look so great' and apologised for Mr Rowden's experience.
The spokesman said: "Our team of trained cooks hand bread our chicken every day and we have strict procedures in place to ensure the quality and safety of our food. Our Zinger fillets are marinated to give their signature spicy flavour, but in this case it appears there has been a problem with the marination. It's not harmful, but it doesn't look great so we're sorry for Aidan's experience and we have been in touch personally to apologise."
