KEYFILE ANNOUNCES EXCLUSIVE AGREEMENT WITH AMS
FARMINGTON, Conn., March 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Keyfile Corporation,

developer of Keyfile integrated document management software, today announced an exclusive agreement with AMS, the leading provider of automation products and services to the independent insurance agency market. Under the agreement, Keyfile's flagship product, also called Keyfile, will be integrated with the AMS PathFinder Plus agency management system to provide users with insurance applications that incorporate key document and image management, workflow and workgroup communications features.
The announcement is being made in Farmington, Conn., at a seminar sponsored by Microsoft Corporation, Andersen Consulting and Insurance & Technology magazine entitled "Windows on Insurance: Views on People, Process and Technology."
Keyfile's Windows-based integrated document management capabilities will dramatically increase the functionality of AMS' agency management systems by enabling users to easily manipulate both electronic and paper documents on their PC local area networks. With Keyfile, users can file, retrieve, share and distribute paper and electronic documents using standard PCs, networks, mass storage devices, scanners and fax boards.
"Our insurance agency customers requested capabilities for managing office documents, so we selected feature-rich Keyfile after looking at the full range of solutions," said David Wroe, president and chief executive officer of AMS. "Other products we tested offered only one or two of the features we were looking for, while Keyfile Successfully integrates the full range: it works under Microsoft Windows; has both document and image management capabilities such as automated faxing, scanning and OCR; includes workflow features so users can circulate documents and schedule meetings; and workgroup communications features such as electronic mail and document sharing."
This exclusive agreement is consistent with Keyfile's vertical marketing strategy. As a new Keyfile business partner, AMS will partici pate in Keyfile's Reseller Alliance Partnership program. Reseller Alliance Partners work with top third-party vendors and technology consultants to customize Keyfile for various vertical market applications.
"Our goal was to establish Keyfile as an important technology player in the insurance marketplace," said James Stenzel, Keyfile president and chief executive officer. "AMS has a history of quality services and a sound long-term strategy for developing the next generati on of automation products for the insurance industry. By signing the exclusive agreement with AMS, we are taking a giant step toward reaching our goal in this market, and are paving our way for entry into other vertical markets."
Keyfile will be available with PathFinder Plus starting in the second quarter of 1992.
AMS is the largest automation vendor in the insurance industry with a customer base of over 20,000 agents and over 28 years of automation experience. AMS has a full line of automation products and services ranging from monthly accounting packages to full-function agency management systems.
