KEY TRONIC INTRODUCES NEW FLEXPRO KEYBOARD; APPLIED DIGITAL DATA SYSTEMS
TO OFFER FLEXPRO WITH NEXT GENERATION VDTS
SPOKANE, Wash., Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Business managers and industrial health experts are asking for products that add adjustability, productivity and comfort the computer user interface, according to Key Tronic (NASDAQ-NMS: KTCC). At the forefront of this new generation of products is Key Tronic's FlexPro(TM) keyboard, developed at the Performance Simulation Laboratory of the University of British Columbia. "The FlexPro keyboard offers all the advantages of a standard 101-key layout with the added benefits of leading-edge design," said Warren Rainer, vice president of Sales and Marketing at Key Tronic. It has an integrated hand rest designed to provide relief from neck and shoulder strain associated with keyboard use. Yet, the FlexPro keyboard remains familiar enough to provide both users and employers with an easy transition and uninterrupted productivity.
"In addition to the product's introduction to the retail market, ADDS (Applied Digital Data Systems Inc.), a leading manufacturer of Video Display Terminals (VDTs) for business and industry, has announced that it will include the FlexPro keyboard as part of a new generation of VDTs coming to market sometime in 1993," said Rainer.
According to ADDS spokesman Vincent Luciano, "ADDS believes that Key Tronic is taking an aggressive and leading-edge position in keyboard design. That's why ADDS is working with Key Tronic to offer a version of their new FlexPro adjustable keyboard on ADDS line of VDTs."
The FlexPro keyboard is backed by a two-year warranty, unlimited toll-free technical support and is built with Key Tronic(R) quality in the U.S.A. It features a standard keyboard layout with adjustable QWERTY section design. The FlexPro keyboard also offers adjustable hand rests and state-of-the-art switch technology. It will begin shipping to distributors throughout North America in the spring of 1993 at a suggested list price of $489.
