DANNY Batth hasn't been tested too often at Molineux this season.

That should change tomorrow as he and Richard Stearman attempt to blot out two of the division's leading goalscorers: Sam Baldock and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas.

Batth's new three-and-a-half-year contract has allayed fears that one of the brightest defensive lights since Joleon Lescott could walk away for nothing at the end of the season.

His popularity with the supporters seemingly knows no bounds.

Baldock's brace against MK Dons took his tally to 14 for the season, still four behind his partner. That's exactly the type of strike-rate Kenny Jackett is after from his front two.

City skipper Baldock says he deserved to be subbed last weekend after missing three chances against his old club.

"It was a massive confidence boost to come in at the interval and hear the manager say he wouldn't be substituting me," he said.

"It would have been easy enough for him to have taken me off take me out of the limelight."

Wolves went ahead when Bakary Sako curled in a left-footed free-kick from 25 yards.

Richard Stearman's error allowed Sam Baldock to set up Jay Emmanuel-Thomas to side-foot the equaliser.

But Doherty struck at the far post to volley home Sako's cross.
