KEY CENTURION ANNOUNCES JANUARY DIVIDEND

 CHARLESTON, W.Va., Nov. 23 ~PRNewswire~ -- The board of directors of Key Centurion Bancshares, Inc. (NASDAQ: KEYC), West Virginia's largest bank holding company, has declared a quarterly dividend of 17 cents per share.
 The dividend, declared at the board's Nov. 23 monthly meeting, will be paid on Jan. 1, 1993, to shareholders of record on Dec. 11, 1992.
 Key Centurion, with $3 billion in assets and $314 million in shareholder equity at Sept. 30, 1992, has a market capitalization exceeding $490 million. Moreover, the company currently ranks first or second in market share of deposits in five of West Virginia's six largest counties ranked by deposits.
 On June 5, 1992, Key Centurion and BANC ONE (NYSE: ONE) of Columbus, Ohio, announced an agreement in principle providing for the merger of Key Centurion with a wholly owned subsidiary of BANC ONE with Key Centurion shareholders to receive BANC ONE shares in exchange for Key Centurion stock. A definitive merger agreement was signed on Oct. 8, 1992. The merger is subject to Key Centurion shareholder and regulatory approvals. Key Centurion's proposed acquisition of Peoples Bank of Charles Town has been approved by regulators and Peoples Bank shareholders and is anticipated to close in late November 1992. Peoples Bank is located in West Virginia's eastern panhandle, a rapidly growing region with a close proximity to the Washington metropolitan area.
 Key Centurion has bank subsidiaries with 56 offices in West Virginia and Kentucky, operating as Beckley National Bank, Beckley and Oak Hill; The Central National Bank of Buckhannon, Buckhannon; Charleston National Bank, Charleston; Union National Bank of West Virginia, Clarksburg; The First Huntington National Bank, Huntington; The Lincoln National Bank of Hamlin, Hamlin; The National Bank of Logan, Logan; Boone National Bank, Madison; The First National Bank of New Martinsville, New Martinsville; First National Bank in Philippi, Philippi; Citizens National of Point Pleasant, Point Pleasant; Citizens National Bank of St. Albans, St. Albans; Nicholas County Bank, Summersville; Wayne County Bank, Wayne; Security National Bank & Trust, Wheeling; The National Bank of Commerce of Williamson, Williamson, all in West Virginia, and First National Bank of Pikeville, Pikeville, Ky.
