BURBANK, Calif., May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Kevin Messick has been

Messick will serve as a producer with Schumacher in all projects developed at the company and will begin his new position on the Warner Bros. lot June 1.
Schumacher, who most recently directed "Falling down," starring Michael Douglas and Robert Duvall, will next direct "The Client," also set for release by Warner Bros.
Messick served as vice president of David Permut's production company from July 1991, until recently. While there, he was responsible for guiding such projects as Eric Bernt's "Surviving the Game." Messick will executive produce the film, to be directed by Ernest Dickerson with Ice-T set to star.
Other Permut projects Messick will remain attached to include Clair Noto's "Julia Pastrana," which Messick will produce with Permut; "Eddie," written by Stephen Metcalfe; and "Face/Off," written by Mike Werb and Michael Colleary. Messick will serve as co-producer on the latter two films.

Earlier, Messick worked as a development assistant at Sandollar Productions after graduating from UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television in June 1989. At UCLA, he simultaneously earned a bachelor of arts degree in theater arts and an M.F.A. in the film/television producer's program.
