KEV'S CUP RUNNETH OVER.

KEVIN MITCHELL is certainly active. Apart from training hard for his 20th pro contest, including top sparring with Colin Lynes before his date at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on July 8, he has also been wrapped up in the World Cup - and watching his family's growing pet collection!

The unbeaten super-featherweight from Dagenham has been cheering on England pal Joe Cole, and Mitchell said: "Joe was man of the match against Sweden ... what a goal. It's just a pity they couldn't hold on, they got sloppy in defence."

The pet count in the Mitchell family continues to grow, too. There's the piranha, a tortoise, two dogs and a lizard, while his brother Vinnie has swapped his python for a near-8ft boa constrictor. Kevin is also planning to buy another dog, a Chinese Shar-Pei breed, and call it Tszyu - after Kostya.
