KERR-MCGEE RESERVES 176 PERCENT OF PRODUCTION OKLAHOMA CITY, Jan. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Kerr-McGee Corp.
(NYSE: KMG) increased its total proved oil and gas reserves by 27 million barrels of oil equivalent in 1991, equal to 176 percent of its worldwide production for the year.
Proved reserves at the end of 1991 were 301 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMBOE), an increase of about 10 percent from Dec. 31, 1990. The company added 62 MMBOE during 1991 while producing 35 MMBOE. Proved oil reserves increased to 160 million barrels from 136 million barrels at Dec. 31, 1991. Gas reserves rose during 1991 to 842 billion cubic feet, compared to 826 billion cubic feet at the end of 1991.
