 KERR-MCGEE REFINING NAMES NEW PRESIDENT
 OKLAHOMA CITY, Aug. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Edward F. McMahon has been


named president of Kerr-McGee Refining Corp., effective Nov. 1, according to Jere W. McKenny, president and chief operating officer of Kerr-McGee Corp. (NYSE: KMG). Current President Ray A. Freels will retire Nov. 1, after which he will serve as a consultant to the company until completion of the strategic alternatives study undertaken with Morgan Stanley & Co.
 McMahon has served as a consultant to Kerr-McGee Refining since 1990. He has more than 31 years experience in refining and marketing with Shell, Atlantic Refining, and Solomon Associates.
