KERR-MCGEE PERSONNEL CHANGES ANNOUNCED

 OKLAHOMA CITY, Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- With full initiation of the Gryphon Project in the North Sea, four of Kerr-McGee's Corp.'s (NYSE: KMG) exploration and production executives are assuming different duties.
 L. V. "Bud" McGuire will relocate to Oklahoma City from London, assuming his earlier-announced position of vice-president for Production Operations. McGuire joined Kerr-McGee in 1991.
 James F. Guion will move from his post as vice-president of Production for the Gulf of Mexico Region in Lafayette, La., to vice- president and managing director of United Kingdom Operations in London. Guion joined Kerr-McGee in 1980.
 James B. Bortmess will relocate from Oklahoma City, where he was acting vice-president for Production Operations. He will assume the position of vice-president of Production for the Gulf of Mexico Region in Lafayette. Bortmess joined Kerr-McGee in 1984.
 David R. Kimes has been named vice-president U.S. Onshore Operations in Oklahoma City. Kimes had been acting in that capacity. He joined the company in 1975.
