KERNAN LEAVES JOSTENS

 MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Jostens today said John T. Kernan has resigned as vice chairman and director of Jostens Inc. (NYSE: JOS) and as chairman and director of Jostens Learning Corporation, a wholly owned Jostens subsidiary.
 Kernan joined Jostens in May 1989 as chairman and chief executive officer of the newly formed Jostens Learning Corporation, a combination of Prescription Learning Corporation and Education Systems Corporation (ESC). At the time, Kernan was president and chief executive officer of ESC.
 "John has contributed much to Jostens and to the educational technology industry, and we wish him well in his future endeavors," said H. William Lurton, chairman and chief executive officer of Jostens Inc.
 Management of Jostens Learning Corporation will continue under the direction of Carl E. Zeiger, president and chief operating officer, with Lurton assuming the title of chairman.
 Jostens, based in Minneapolis, is a leading provider of products and services for the youth, education, sports award and recognition markets. Jostens is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol JOS and last year reported sales of $915 million.
