KENNETH R. MARRS NAMED LOUISIANA PLANT ASSISTANT PLANT MANAGER-OPERATIONS

 HOUSTON, Aug. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Kenneth R. Marrs has been named assistant plant manager-operations at Star Enterprise's Louisiana Plant in Convent effective immediately, the company announced today.
 After graduating from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering in 1971, Marrs joined Texaco as an engineer in engineering design at Port Arthur Plant. In 1975, he was assigned to inspection engineering where he was promoted to senior engineer, then project engineer in 1977.
 Marrs was assigned to Saudi Aramco as a construction engineer in Saudi Arabia in 1978, and in Houston in 1981. He returned to Saudi Arabia in 1983 as supervisor of technical services.
 From 1985 to 1988, Marrs served as a process technologist for Texaco in Houston. He joined Star Enterprise's headquarters office in Houston as manager of manufacturing planning upon the company's creation in 1989.
 In 1990, Marrs was assigned to Louisiana Plant as supervisor of maintenance. At the time of his promotion to assistant plant manager- operations, he was supervisor of operations, a position he has held since January of 1993.
 Star Enterprise is a joint venture between subsidiaries of Texaco Inc. and Saudi Aramco. The company refines and markets Texaco-branded products in 26 East and Gulf Coast states and the District of Columbia.
