KENNETH H. WEIXEL TO LEAD HEALTH CARE AUDIT/TAX UNIT OF THE LOS ANGELES OFFICE OF DELOITTE & TOUCHE

 LOS ANGELES, Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Kenneth H. Weixel has joined the Los Angeles office of Deloitte & Touche and will lead the audit and tax practices of the office's health care business unit, announced John T. Cardis, Office Managing Partner of the accounting firm's Los Angeles office.
 Weixel previously was Partner-in-Charge of the Healthcare Group for the Deloitte & Touch office in Columbus, Ohio. His areas of expertise includes hospitals, physician group practices, managed care, long-term care, and clinics.
 Weixel joined Deloitte & Touche in 1980 and became a partner in 1991. Weixel has provided a wide range of services to his clients, including audits, tax preparation and planning, merger/due diligence assistance, strategic planning, and operations improvement.
 Some of the clients that Weixel has served include Kaiser Permanente of Southern California, Granada Hills Hospital, Barlow Hospital, Mount San Antonio Retirement System, and the Hospital Council of Southern California. In Columbus he served several of the largest hospitals and health care systems in Central Ohio.
 He is a graduate of the Capital University with a bachelor of science in accounting and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California and Ohio Societies of CPAs, and the Healthcare Financial Managers Association.
