KENDALL HEALTHCARE PRODUCTS COMPANY APPOINTED EXCLUSIVE U.S. DISTRIBUTOR FOR A-V IMPULSE SYSTEM

KENDALL HEALTHCARE PRODUCTS COMPANY APPOINTED EXCLUSIVE
U.S. DISTRIBUTOR FOR A-V IMPULSE SYSTEM
MANSFIELD, Mass., Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The Kendall Company, market leaders in vascular therapy products, has been appointed as the exclusive distributor for the A-V Impulse System(R) foot pump in the United States. The appointment is effective immediately. Details of the agreement are unavailable.
Novamedix Limited, a British company, developed the foot pump after the discovery of a plexus of veins in the foot. The A-V Impulse System promotes the return of venous blood from the legs by intermittently compressing this plexus of veins. This patented technology dramatically enhances the circulation of blood in the legs of patients who are immobile as a result of illness, trauma or surgery.
Over four years of clinical research with the pump has produced an abundance of clinical data to support indications where improved blood flow can avoid complications and provide numerous clinical benefits.
The device recently received FDA approval for the prevention of deep vein thrombosis, the treatment of venous stasis and insufficiency, the reduction of edema and leg pain following trauma and surgery, the enhancement of blood circulation, including arterial flow, and for the treatment of leg ulcers.
Kendall and Novamedix will jointly support future clinical studies to extend the range of indications based on this natural, non-invasive and highly effective technology.
Kendall, based in Mansfield, intends to market the A-V Impulse System in conjunction with its other vascular therapy products, such as SCD(tm) System and T.E.D.(R) Anti-Embolism Stockings. The introduction of the A-V Impulse System will solidify further Kendall's number one position in this fast-growing market.
