KEEP CAMERA ON MEL B.
Byline: IAN HYLAND
Thanks in no small way to the increase in screen time for Mel B, the second weekend of The X Factor was way better than the first.
I was a bit gutted when that guy who works down the chip shop did a Whitney Houston song though.
Surely he should have been pretending to be Elvis? There was also still far too much of the Princess Cheryl of Hearts nonsense.
I'm sure Cheryl has her fans, but I feel duty bound to ask ITV one question: If she is even half the national treasure you would have us believe then surely a few more devotees would have bought her last album? NB. It was strange to see two auditionees complain their jobs make them stink of fish. Usually, things don't start to smell fishy on this show until the voting starts.
6 Weirdest thing about watching ITV's rerun of that brilliant An Audience With Joan Rivers from 2007 on Saturday night? Realising just how many of the audience members' careers died before she did.
