 KATHRYN D. SNYDER PROMOTED TO EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
 OF GLENDALE FEDERAL BANK
 GLENDALE, Calif., Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Stephen J. Trafton, chairman and chief executive officer of Glendale Federal Bank, has announced the promotion of Kathryn D. Snyder to the position of executive vice president and treasurer.
 Snyder, 36, joined Glendale Federal Bank in November 1986 as vice president, manager Financial and Operations Audit. She has held increasingly responsible financial positions since that time, most recently senior vice president and treasurer.
 Prior to joining Glendale Federal Bank, Snyder was an Audit Manager at Price Waterhouse.
 Snyder, a Certified Public Accountant, received her undergraduate and master of business administration degrees from the University of California at Los Angeles. She currently resides with her husband and son in Glendale.
 Glendale Federal Bank is the principal operating subsidiary of GLENFED Inc. (NYSE: GLN), and is the nation's fifth largest savings bank. It provides community banking services through 214 banking offices in California, Florida and Washington.
