KAO INFOSYSTEMS APPOINTS VINCENT BORAGINE NORTH AMERICAN IS DIRECTOR: FORMER ALLIED SIGNAL MANAGER TO HEAD KAO INFORMATION SERVICES OPERATIONS
 PLYMOUTH, Mass., Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Kao Infosystems Company, one of the world's largest diskette manufacturers, announced today the appointment of Vincent Boragine as director of North American information services. The position is new and reports to Jack Rose, Kao Infosystems executive vice president, North America.
 In making the announcement, Rose said, "Vincent Boragine brings to Kao Infosystems a broad background in IS operations coupled with an outstanding experience record. He will play an integral role in developing a comprehensive information services program that will serve Kao Infosystems' 19 manufacturing and sales locations in North America and will coordinate our IS operations with Kao's global IS operations."
 In his new position, Boragine will be responsible for coordinating IS investments at all 19 Kao Infosystems sites, improving IS planning functions, developing business process engineering and building better management information systems.
 Boragine joins Kao with more than 20 years' experience in management information systems operations. Most recently, he was MIS manager planning and information architecture for the Allied Signal Aftermarket Group, a $600 million manufacturer of FRAM, Bendix and Autolite products. There he established and staffed a strategic planning, end- user computing and quality assurance group responsible for planning the company's migration from a mainframe to a distributed AS/400 systems environment.
 Boragine holds a B.S. degree in accounting from the University of Rhode Island and an M.B.A. degree from Bryant. He is a member of the Association of Systems Manager. He and his wife, Judith, and their four children reside in Sturbridge, Mass.
 Kao Infosystems Company, headquartered in Plymouth, Mass., has become one of the world's largest diskettes manufacturers in only six years of operation. Kao's products, including diskettes, data cartridges, and digital audio tapes (DATs) incorporate advanced surface science technology.
