KAMAN EXCHANGES $62 MILLION IN EQUITY FOR DEBT SWAP

 BLOOMFIELD, Conn., Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Kaman Corp. (NASDAQ-NMS: KAMNA) today announced the final results of its recent offer to exchange depositary shares representing interests in its preferred stock for its 6 percent convertible subordinated debentures (NASDAQ: KAMNG). A total of $92,615,000 Kaman subordinated debentures were tendered and of that amount $61,804,000, or 66.73 percent, were accepted for exchange resulting in the issuance of 1,143,348 depositary shares representing 285,837 shares of the company's series 2 preferred stock. The depositary shares have been approved for trading on The Nasdaq Stock Market (NASDAQ: KAMNZ).
 Kaman Corp., headquartered here, is a highly diversified company with business activities in industrial (42 percent), defense (34 percent) and commercial markets (24 percent).
