KAMAN AEROSPACE WINS $21 MILLION A-6 CONTRACT BLOOMFIELD, Conn., Oct. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Kaman Aerospace Corp.
today announced it has been awarded a $21 million contract from Boeing Defense & Space Group to provide flaps and slats for the A-6 replacement wing follow-on program. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in late 1993 and continue into 1996.
"This award is the result of a great deal of hard work and careful planning by many of our employees," said Walter Kozlow, president of Kaman Aerospace. "It is especially gratifying because it means additional work with Boeing. We are proud to continue our work with the premier aircraft manufacturer." Kaman has worked with Boeing on the A-6 rewinging program since 1986. Details will continue to be fabricated in Moosup, Conn., bondments in Bloomfield, Conn., and final assembly at Kaman's Jacksonville, Fla., facility. Kaman Aerospace, a subsidiary of Bloomfield, Conn.-based Kaman Corp. (NASDAQ-NMS: KAMNA), is a prime and subcontract manufacturer of components and systems for various space, fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft both military and commercial.
