KAISER PERMANENTE ANNOUNCES A TECHNOLOGY AGREEMENT WITH ISSC

 TARRYTOWN, N.Y., Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Kaiser Permanente, the nation's largest Health Maintenance Organization (HMO), and Integrated Systems Solutions Corporation (ISSC) today announced the signing of a long-term, multi-million dollar technology agreement to provide a range of information systems support and service to five of Kaiser Permanente's 12 regions.
 Under the agreement, ISSC will assume responsibility for operation and support of Kaiser Permanente's common systems applications for the company's Georgia, North Carolina, Texas, Northeast (Hartford, Conn.) and Kansas City regions. ISSC will provide computer operations and system support to Kaiser Permanente's development group in Portland, Ore.
 "This agreement with ISSC is an important step in Kaiser Permanente's effort to continue to be a value leader in health care delivery. The five regions that will utilize these services are five of Kaiser Permanente's fastest growing regions and have tremendous growth potential for the future," said Andy Dubill, vice president of Interregional Services for Kaiser Permanente. "We envision that this will further improve the quality of service to our members and reduce costs at the same time."

 The agreement also includes systems integration services to convert/package a Kaiser Permanente appointment application and the installation of video conferencing facilities in the locations serviced by ISSC. ISSC's facility in Lexington, Ky., will deliver the Kaiser Permanente regions' information processing and network operations.
