KAEPA HAS MUCH TO SHOW AT SUPER SHOW

ATLANTA, Feb. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- At the 1993 Super Show, amid the giants of the athletic footwear industry, emerges a company gaining substantial ground in the all-out marketing war.
They don't pay professional athletes to wear their products. Their shoes have no "pumps" to air you out. And you won't find motorcycle chains or cowboy buckles on the shoes. They're not out to tackle the masses (not yet anyway); only attack the niches. Welcome to the Kaepa Team.
Top executives at Kaepa are expecting the Super Show, and all of 1993, to be a year of great achievements. To kick it off, they have brought with them the cheerleaders of top-ranked Florida State University and the University of North Carolina. With performances scheduled every 1-1/2 hours, Kaepa expects to draw substantial crowds, as they have in the past.
With cheerleading sales finishing the year up 52 percent, and overall sales climbing to 56 percent, Kaepa has quite a bit to cheer about.
But their cheers aren't solely reserved for the cheerleading niche. Super Show will also host Kaepa's launch into the volleyball market.
"With the success we have had in the cheerleading market, volleyball was a natural extension for us," said Frank Legacki, president and CEO of Kaepa. "We plan on an aggressive campaign, backed by a strong marketing commitment."
With the debut of three new women's volleyball models and one new men's, Kaepa is expecting volleyball to comprise approximately 18 to 20 percent of their overall sales for 1993.
To tie all of the Super Show excitement together, Kaepa will also debut a new booth (6150 F) twice the size of their previous booth, to accommodate the increased amount of traffic experienced over the last few years.
