K-C posts results.

First quarter results for 1992 have been reported by Kimberly-Clark, Dallas, TX. Sales increased 4.3% to $1.74 billion on the strength of higher sales volumes in child care, medical and surgical products, incontinence products and premium business and correspondence papers. Net income rose 13.4% to $136.4 million.

During the first quarter, the company reported that Huggies Baby Steps diapers became available throughout the U.S. and that Huggies baby wipes were expanded to cover 70% of the U.S. Kotex ultrathin long maxi pads and New Freedom Anyday long pantiliners were also introduced in the U.S. while Kotex New Freedom long pantiliners debuted in Canada.
