Justice Anwar ul Haq sworn in chief justice of LHC.

LAHORE -- Justice Anwar ul Haq has taken oath as chief justice of Lahore High Court (LHC).

The oath taking ceremony was held in Governor House Lahore Tuesday and governor Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar administered oath to Justice Anwar ul Haq.

Justice Anwar ul Haq said in oath taking ceremony he would discharge his obligations honestly and with loyalty as per law and constitution of Islamic Republic Pakistan. He would not let his personal interests to influence his official job and decisions. He will give verdicts in synch with law.

Former Chief justice LHC, Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar, judges of LHC, provincial ministers and senior government officials attended the ceremony.

Former chief justice of LHC Muhammad Yawar Ali stands retired on completion of his service tenure. Following his retirement President Arif Alvi had appointed Justice Anwar ul Haq as chief justice LHC.

Justice Anwar ul Haq will stay at his post of chief justice of LHC till December 31, 2018.
