Just like your granny used to make; Steak pie - a tasty, wholesome meal.

1lb prepared stewing beef Salt and pepper Few drops Worcester sauce

1 teaspoon chopped parsley 2-4oz chopped onion 1/4 pint water or stock 8oz puff pastry or rough puff

Begin by sealing the meat in hot oil in a frying pan.

Drain meat in a colander and place in a thick-bottomed pan.

Mix in 25g (10z) browned flour, onion, Worcester sauce, parsley, brown stock or water and season. Simmer until cooked, skim and cool. rough pastry. Bake at 200ic/Gas Mark 6 for approximately 30-40 minutes. Use 25-50 per cent whole meal flour in place of plain flour if using short pastry.
