Just Joan: I can't live with my lover losing interest.

Byline: Joan Burnie

QI'VE been friendly with a nice girl for a couple of years. She is my world and when we're together it just feels so right.

I've never met anyone else like her and can't talk to other girls as they just don't compare.

She knows how feel about her but says she's not ready for a relationship though we occasionally sleep together.

Now, however, she seems to be losing interest in me. It happened once before and she didn't speak to me for six months. I can't live like this so what do I do?

ATHE woman is being pretty honest with you. She likes you well enough but doesn't feel anything like as much for you as you do for her.

It also looks to me that when you try to push her into a closer, more meaningful relationship, she backs off.

You can't force someone to love you. doubt she's going to change.

Either you accept her on her terms or you finish it and find someone else.

If you do the dumping she might suddenly decide you are 'the one' after all - but I wouldn't bet on it.
