June Lorett Whitney Hallberg, 84.

FOXBORO- June Lorett Whitney Hallberg, age 84, died peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2013, in Northborough, MA from complications brought on by Parkinson's Disease. Born in Auburn, MA on June 7, 1928, June was the youngest child of Forrest E. and Colomb Marie (Faucher) Whitney. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Edwin Rudolph Hallberg Jr., her parents, and 4 brothers. She relocated to Foxboro seven years ago and was very active in the Bethany Congregational Church where she was also known as Junebug. Having a carefree spirit and a love for the outdoors June enjoyed cross country skiing, bicycling, camping, and was an avid golfer. She loved to cook but was best known as an exceptional baker. June leaves behind five children: Christine Andersson of Northborough, Judith Hallberg-Gordon of Ann Arbor, MI, Charles Hallberg (Sharon) of Naples, FL, Valerie Hallberg-Stallings (Michael) of Roseburg, OR, and Kenneth Hallberg (Jeanette) of Foxboro. She also leaves 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Contributions may be made in her name to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, Whitney Place at Northborough, or Bethany Congregational Church of Foxboro. A special celebration of her life will be held in September of 2013.
