Judge sorry for sick sex attack joke.
Judge John Prosser compared the woman's alleged oral sex ordeal with a trip to the dentist.
The prosecution asked if she'd said anything during the attack. The 29- year-old woman replied she'd been unable to speak.
Judge Prosser said: "It's like going to the dentist and he asks `Where are you going on holiday?' as he's drilling your mouth".
There was silence at Cardiff Crown Court. Then the judge said: "I'm very sorry. That was in very bad taste".
Harold Baker, 48, of Fleur-de-Lys, Gwent, faces 12 charges including rape. The trial goes on.
Sara Reid, from Welsh Women's Aid, branded the remark "inexcusable".
