Judge makes short measure of bar ban.

MIDLANDER Mick McDonagh will be put behind bars - if he is caught by gardai drinking in any pub in Ireland!

The Co Offaly man was given an 11 months jail sentence for assault and public order offences.

But Judge John Neilan agreed to suspend the prison term, provided McDonagh, from Tullamore, undertook to enter a bond to be of good behaviour for three years.

The case arose out of an incident earlier this year in which McDonagh was involved in a row with his sister. Tullamore District court heard he was also involved in a disturbance at Tullamore Garda Station last February.
