Judge's fury as mobile phones are being left on.

THE judge rebuked a team of police officers yesterday for failing to keep order in the court.

Judge Prithviraj Fekna lashed out after the hearing was interrupted by mobile phone interference on the courtroom's sound system.

He complained he was sick of repeatedly hearing the buzzing noise which meant someone had kept their phone on silent.

And he ordered court security officers to ensure in future all mobile devices were switched off.

Judge Fekna said: "Somebody has their phone on. I'm going to ask the police to conduct a search.

"I have made this announcement about seven or eight times."

Meanwhile, the judge publicly rebuked the courtroom's senior office.

He said: "You are the officer in charge.

"Tomorrow and for every single day of this trial you will please check people are not coming in with their phones switched on. I have had enough of this."
