Joy in bundles.
Of the many rewards that come with being a photographer--recognition, earnings, the opportunity to travel--day-to-day happiness is high up on Ryan Rivera's list. At 24, Ryan has pursued a passion that has enriched his young career life in more ways than he ever could have imagined.
A registered nurse by profession, Ryan has since preferred to become a photographer by trade to exercise his creative gift and relate his viewpoints through his art.
"I cannot fully explain the best things about being a photographer. However, I do take pleasure being at the receiving end of happiness and gratitude. A client's simple words saying 'thank you,' inspire me to become more creative and to discover a more profound love for photography. There are countless opportunities, too, to meet people who willingly share knowledge and valuable experiences that help build your foundations," Ryan points out.
Photography has also taught Ryan to eagerly deliver. His works are undeniably sharp and portray genuine emotions that speak for themselves. He shares that apart from a good command of technical know-how, it also pays for a photographer to identify key emotions that shape an appropriate photograph.
Ryan was perhaps shaped and motivated to express how he feels and relate how he sees life in the form of pictures as he recalls how he then managed to put up with his camera phone. "I never had the chance to immediately own a decent digital camera, more so, an advanced DSLR. As a budding photojournalist for our school publication, I made the most out of my camera phone and thereafter turned to the wonders of post-processing software to make up for what I lacked in equipment."
"In doing so, photography has become my life as shaped by passion. Wherefore, my camera is more of a necessity than an instrument."
Currently, he commands his own label, RR Productions in Antique province. Its Facebook page, www.facebook.com/RRiveraPRODUCTION, underlines the unique element in emotions that Ryan has since learned to masterfully gather. Instinctively, his works highlight an outpour of feelings most of which speak about tranquillity, love, and happiness.
Unsurprisingly, Ryan dedicates his craft to wedding and events photography. He says he earns a great degree of creative fulfilment by being part of these momentous events which will be cherished for a lifetime. "It's in these kinds of events that everybody can relate to. Weddings convey unique yet universal feelings of happiness and best wishes."
