Jordan, Pakistan sign MoU on Securities development.

Amman, May 30 (Petra)--The Jordan Securities Commission (JSC) sealed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with its Pakistani counterpart to boost bilateral cooperation and investment protection in both countries.

The deal was signed on the sidelines of the annual conference and meeting of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) currently being held in the Chinese capital Beijing.

In a press release issued on Wednesday, the JSC said that the MoU focused on exchanging expertise and regulatory information to enhance the Commissions' performance, promote their legislative frameworks, enhance compliance with international laws and standards and reduce the illegal practices in the two countries' markets.

The MoU will also enhance the disclosure of necessary information for investors and upgrade the technical level of the concerned specialists, the JSC added.

JSC President Mohammad Tash said that the signing of MoUs will help the commission take a first-hand look at international expertise in regulating and developing capital markets according to IOSCO best practices and standards.
