Jones ready to fire AFC; VODKAT LEAGUE.

HOT-SHOT Steve Jones hammered home four goals as AFC Liverpool romped to a midweek win.

The forward hit the quartet of strikes in the 5-2 win over Cheadle and will hope to repeat the trick in today's match at home to Chadderton.

AFC are third in the Vodkat First Division standings ahead of Runcorn Town in eighth who go to Daisy Hill today.

In the Vodkat Premier Division, the league's top scorer Liam Pearson will aim to help St Helens Town gun down struggling Glossop North End.

Meanwhile, Evo-Stik First Division North side Prescot Cables have lost the services of two players this week.

Marksman Aaron Rey has joined Chorley and Dean Ennion has gone to Witton Albion.

But the Valerie Park side have drafted in James Bell from Leigh Genesis and Lancaster City's Gavin Lynch.

Cables travel to AFC Fylde today, 3pm.

Meanwhile Skelmersdale United have completed the signing of Lee Parle.

The Marine captain has swapped Crosby for West Lancashire after manager Tommy Lawson renewed his interest in the midfielder last week.

Parle made his Skem debut in the 4-3 midweek win over Salford.
