Jonathan's dreaming of the jungle.
JONATHAN BRIGGS is looking forward to a trip of a lifetime to Belize next year - but first he needs to raise pounds 3,000.The 18-year-old, of Kenpas Highway, Styvechale, Coventry, has been chosen to take part in a 10-week trip to the Central American country, organised by charity Raleigh International.
Jonathan, who is taking a year off before going to Sheffield Hallam University, said: "I wanted to do something different.
"This trip is good because it involves doing charity work with the community in a country I would probably not visit by myself."
Details of the trip have not yet been finalised but Jonathan expects to take part in scientific research into Belize's coral reef, a community project such as building a school or hospital, and something adventurous such as jungle trekking.
The former Finham Park School student has already raised pounds 1,000 towards the trip but he still needs to raise more. He is already planning more fund-raising events.
Anybody who would like to donate money can phone Jonathan on 024 7641 1065.
