Jon A. Frykberg Sr. 73Worcester - Jon ("Pop") A. Frykberg Sr. died peacefully Friday, November 21st in the Rose Monahan House. He is predeceased by his wife Nancy who passed away November 15, 2014. Unfortunately their health issues brought them to a point where they were no longer able to be together. We are very grateful to all the people who opened their homes and hearts to Jon and Nancy, and also the staff that cared for Jon at St. Vincent's ICU. He is survived by his son Jon Jr. of Maryland, his daughter-in-law Shawn and their daughter Hannah; his daughter Laurine Hanlon of Westborough along with her husband John and their three children Maggie, Jack and Rian; his sister Sue Lizewski of Worcester, and his brother Glenn and his wife Karen of Spencer.Jon was an employee of Worcester Wire for 20 years, followed by 10 years at Concord Wire. He retired and became a self employed electrician. As a final gesture exemplary of Pop's generous nature, Jon donated his body to the Umass Anatomical Gift program. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, November 29th , 10 am at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1220 Main Street, Worcester. A reception will immediately follow at the Knights of Columbus, 44 Circuit Avenue North, Worcester. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Rose Monahan Hospice Home of Worcester.
