Joint efforts to form a new government.

The Iraqi President Jalal Talabani and Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki discussed means to bring all Iraqi groups together for a joint effort to form the next Iraqi government.

Speaking to reporters following the meeting which took place at President Talabani's office in Baghdad, President Talabani stressed that the two sides have struggled for decades against dictatorship in Iraq and that they have played a vital role in the establishment of a united, federal and democratic Iraq.Aa

He added that they will continue to make joint efforts to deal with the threats which might face the country's political process and its stability, noting that they will do all they could to form a new government.
