For Staff Sergeant Myles Hunt, the thought of not being able to serve because of medical retirement was as devastating as the IED blast outside of Baghdad that claimed his right eye and left thumb.

But the DAV gave him a second chance to make a difference for Americans he loved most. As a National Service Officer, Myles is able to help his fellow veterans receive the benefits they've earned.

Once again, Myles is part of a team of disabled veterans who help their fellow veterans face life's challenges with optimism and hope. And this team, and all of DAV's special programs, rely on the National Service Foundation to keep their vital mission alive.

The National Service Foundation develops financial re sources for the assistance, aid, maintenance, care, support and rehabilitation of disabled veterans and their dependents, either directly or though contributions to the service programs of the Disabled American Veterans National Organization or its Departments and Chapters.

By joining the exclusive club of National Service Foundation donors, you ensure this important mission continues. You also become eligible for recognition based on the level of your tax-deductible contribution. Donors whose gift reaches $100 or more, for instance, are inducted into the Honor Roll of Benefactors and automatically receive a wallet-size recognition card.
