Join in the Food Standards debate; COUNTRY newsbulletin.

THE Welsh Food Advisory Committee of the Food Standards Agency is holding an open meeting on the last day of the Royal Welsh Show.

The meeting at 10.15am in the Hospitality Pavilion on Thursday, July 22, will include a themed discussion on Primary Production, with presentations on TB in cattle and the splitting of sheep carcasses to remove spinal cord as specified risk material. There will also be an update on skin-on sheep meat - smokies - along with food chain information, charging for meat hygiene official controls and other topics.

Anyone with an interest in the work of the Food Standards Agency is invited to attend.
