Johnson grabs a hat-trick.

IPSWICH fought back brilliantly after going behind when goalkeeper Richard Wright had to go off for treatment.

He was hurt after just two minutes and when he returned 12 minutes later Oxford had gone in front through Kevin Francis.

But Ipswich stormed back and equalised after 28 minutes through Alex Mathie.

Ipswich, unbeaten in their previous nine League games, were ahead seven minutes later when David Johnson headed in a Bobby Petta corner.

Johnson took advantage of a defensive blunder to add the third goal.

Matt Holland added the fourth after Whitehead parried weakly from another Petta corner.

Oxford's second came from a O'Neill Donaldson penalty after Joey Beauchamp was fouled, but Johnson completed his hat-trick from another penalty.
