Joel Bouzou hails Dubai's stand on peace.
"I have been a sportsman all my life but never had a chance to come to Dubai," Joel Bouzou, Founder and President of Peace and Sport said in closing remarks at the Peace and Sport Forum in Dubai on Wednesday.
"Being here has been a great privilege as it is a place where one feels more like a citizen of the world," Bouzou added.
"The UAE is a peaceful country that is making a huge contribution to the world. Peace is possible and it is a reality in this region.
"During the Peace and Sport Forum this week, we have had an inspiring journey and it was our goal to offer a very pragmatic platform to share and exchange views."
The two-day event was held at the JW Marriott Marquis hotel under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council (DSC).
"As a sports leader and citizen of the world I am proud to say that these past two days have been fruitful. This forum has given us a chance to plant seeds of a movement for the future and make this a better world," he added.
Thanking Shaikh Hamdan, Mattar Al Tayer and Dr Ahmad Sa'ad Al Sharif of the DSC, Bouzou lauded the quality of exchanges between top sportspersons and leaders from the region.
"This forum serves as a first and most critical pillar to build a neutral platform for dialogue. This shows our diversity and makes us stronger to understanding each other in sharing dreams, hopes and aspirations. I applaud Dubai with my hands and heart for making this a tremendous success," Bouzou said.
"I have a dream that after some years each and every kid in the world will have access to sport and education."
