Joe targets Dai record; ATHLETICS.

PONTYPRIDD'S Joe Thomas will look to bounce back from his European Indoor Championship disappointment by attempting to break Dai Greene's 600m British record this weekend.

Thomas is set to run in the 300m and 600m at the Welsh Athletics Indoor International on Sunday in Cardiff, after missing out on the final at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden.

He cruised to victory in his heat on Friday but bowed out at the semi-final stage on Saturday when he finished fourth in 1:49.14.

The 25-year-old will now try and beat Greene''s record 600m time of 1.16.22 which he set in Glasgow in January.
