Jiffyfoam protects bananas in transit.

Jiffyfoam Protects Bananas in Transit

Ambassador Packaging Ltd is now supplying the Fyffes Group with Jiffyfoam. 1.5mm thick Jiffyfoam is used to line the boxes for bananas to provide insulation, which helps to maintain the fruit at an even temperature during transit.

This foam ensures that bananas do not suffer from the effects of cold and heat, within given time limits, which could result in them arriving at their point of sale in less than peak condition. Additionally, it also helps to prevent bruising by cushioning against impact.

Bananas are carefully selected at the right stage of maturity, for redistribution by Fyffes to wholesale, retail and major UK supermarket chains. This foam ensures that the bananas reach the point of sale in perfect condition.
