Jensen Investment Management, manager of the Jensen Funds, said its employees Kurt Havnaer, Allen Bond, Kevin Walkush and Adam Calamar have each been promoted to portfolio manager.

Each has previously served as a business analyst, and a voting member of the Jensen Funds' investment team, alongside portfolio managers Robert Zagunis, Robert McIver and Eric Schoenstein; the seven team members will continue to have equal voting responsibilities within the firm's consensus-based investment process.

As portfolio managers, Kurt, Allen, Kevin and Adam will maintain their focus on the research of quality businesses.

Kurt Havnaer, CFA, conducts fundamental research and joined the firm in 2005. Kurt spent nine years with Columbia Management Group, Inc. as a high yield analyst and co-portfolio manager of the Columbia High Yield Fund.

Allen Bond, CFA, conducts fundamental research and joined the firm in 2007 from Washington Mutual where he held the position of credit analyst.

Kevin Walkush conducts fundamental research and joined the firm in 2007 from Morningstar where he held the position of stock analyst.

Adam Calamar, CFA, conducts fundamental research and joined the firm in 2008. He began his career at Broadmark Asset Management, LLC, a hedge fund management company specializing in low-volatility equity strategies.

Jensen Investment Management was founded in 1988 as an independent, employee-owned investment management company. The firm remains employee-owned with nearly 50 percent of its employees in the ownership group. Jensen had total assets under management of over USD6.0 billion as of August 31, 2015. The firm manages the Jensen Quality Growth Fund, Jensen Quality Value Fund, as well as separate and institutional accounts.
